Today I have spent the whole day preparing an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for the Emergency Department of a newly built hospital. Developing SOP is a part of our healthcare service quality management initiatives.

I am a hobbyist graphic designer. Since 2008, I have been playing with colours. I use colour to support my visual thinking and to simplify complex ideas. It was quite optional though. However, while formulating the SOP I have realized colour-coding can be even lifesaving in the Emergency Department. From the policy implication standpoint, I’m integrating public health research and Design Thinking for improving service delivery, patient experience, and quality control.
